Nik Leever

Owner of G Rides

Nik Leever is the proud owner of G Rides, a popular jet ski rental business located on the picturesque Norris Lake in Tennessee. Originally from Wilmington, Ohio, Nik grew up with a deep connection to the water, as family vacations were always spent lakeside. This love for the water eventually brought the Leever family to Norris Lake in the mid-1990s, where they purchased a vacation home and made the lake their second home.

Nik's journey into the boating and water sports industry began during his teenage years, when he and his brother took on jobs at the dock, bussing tables and pumping fuel. Their exposure to the growing demand for water sports equipment led them to launch a small business in 2001. Initially, their shop specialized in clothing, sandals, and water sports gear, but it soon evolved to include jet ski rentals, which became a focal point of their business.

After graduating from the College of Charleston in 2004, Nik embraced a flexible lifestyle, traveling and living in various locations during the shop's off-season. In 2013, he decided to make Norris Lake his permanent home, moving to LaFollette, just 15 minutes from the shop.

Outside of the summer season, Nik enjoys farming and fishing, balancing his love for the outdoors with a peaceful off-season life. In 2017, Nik married Amanda, who is currently working in education in LaFollette. Together, they continue to enjoy life in this beautiful region of Tennessee, surrounded by the lake that has been a cornerstone of their lives for decades.
